Can’t be ignored is the product of years of late-night chats, hour long phone calls and a passion for growing our own careers and helping others do the same.
Vince and Jeremiah are opposites in so many ways but together bring a well-rounded point of view to any conversation. Throughout this website and blog, you can always tell who is talking by the type. Vince will always be italics and Jeremiah will always be bold.
Vincent is a husband, father of four and an active-duty service member. He has spent the last 16 years working in and leading teams in realms ranging from labor, sports, church groups, intelligence, communications, sales and command teams overseas. He believes that personal and professional growth are inseparable, and that community and collaboration are necessary for both. He desires to learn from others and use his experience to train and equip organizations to realize their vision and potential. He believes that a huge step in doing this is to focus on and develop the often marginalized and ignored mid-tier leaders of the blue-collar workforce.
I, Jeremiah, started working in the construction industry at nine years old. I traded my summers for money and the enjoyment of relaxing at home to working with my dad, the reward was a paycheck, never a compliment. At eighteen years old I entered into construction management and have continued to climb; I have continued to grow in my position to this day. It’s through management that I have learned that the way I got here isn’t the only way and no two workers are the same even though so many try to group us into a box, these observations are part of what I am most eager to cover in this podcast. As time goes on and episodes are published, we are going to map out a more effective way. We are going to create community, gather consensus and offer guidance for one another.
